Jammu : The department of Urdu University of Jammu organized “Parisar Safai Abhiyan” on 22-04-2022 to mark “World Earth Day”. On this occasion Head of the department Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed said that University of Jammu is celebrating World Earth Day and conducting Parisar Safai Abhiyan in the university Campus to create awareness among students about importance of hygiene, public sanitation conditions. He congratulate the students on World Earth day and explained the responsibilities of a citizen about our planet Earth. In this connection a cleanliness drive was conducted in which students and research scholars of the department took part and cleaned the parisar and peripheires of the department. Head of the department Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed act as coordinator and Dr.Chaman Lal Teacher incharge supervised the Safai Abhiyan. While Mohd Arif (CR) and Ali Asghar performed their duty as nominated volunteers. Prof.Shohab Inayat Malik, Dr. Abdul Rashid Manhas, Dr. Farhat Shamim, Dr.Abdul Qayoom and other teaching and non-teaching staff members were also participated in the cleanliness drive.
