Jammu 28 March 2022 : The department of Urdu, University of Jammu today organized a Book Release function and Sham-E-Ghazal in the jam-packed Prof. Gian Chand Jain Seminar hall of the Urdu department. Prof. Nadeem Ahmed, Jamia Milia Islamia Delhi preside over the function while Noted Writer of Urdu and Fomer HOD Urdu Kashmir Univeristy Prof. Qudus Javed was Chief Guest on the occasion. Jb Sohail Kazmi was the Guest of Honour . On the occasion three Poetry Books (Collections of Urdu & Hindi Poetry) of Noted Writer & Poetess Sudha Jain Anjum titled “Shayari, Deewangi Aur Zindagi” , “Teesri Aankh” and “Fun Aur Shaksiyat” was released on the occasion. The presidium was also shared by Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed HOD Urdu University of Jammu.
In his address Prof. Qudus Javed congratulated the author for bringing out the poetry books in Urdu and English languages. He said that the books written by Sudha Jain Anjum are on the bases of reality of life. She depicted realities of life in very interesting manner. Prof.Qudus Javed described that the poetry of Sudha Jain Anjum covers all the aspects of life. He said the function is one of the most impressive one and highlighted qualities of the head and HOD Urdu Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed.
In his speech Presidential address Prof. Nadeem Ahmed Highlighted the poetry collection both Urdu and Hindi poetry of Sudha Jain Anjum and in brief explain the importance and role of Urdu and Hindi poetry in the development of languages. He also appreciated Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed , HOD Urdu for organizing a book release function , in which three poetic collection were released. The Urdu poetry in the book of Sudha Jain Anjum is brilliant added Prof. Nadim Ahmad.
In his welcome address Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmad, HOD Urdu University of Jammu congratulated Sudha Jain Anjum for her books. Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed also appreciated the books and their role for the development of Urdu language and literature. He also welcomed all the guests who attended the book release function.
In his speech Jb Sohail Kazmi was congratulated the author for their valuable books. He said that Urdu department, University of Jammu is one of the most vibrant department of Urdu world. The literary and academic activities organized by the department are the need of hour. He also offered his full support of HOD Urdu Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed and congratulated HOD Urdu for organizing a book release function in which three books were released.
Lateron A Sham-E-Ghazal was also organized in which the author of the books Sudha Jain Anjum, who is also renowned ghazal singer sung some of the most famous urdu ghazal which appreciated by one and all.
The proceeding of the programme was conducted by Dr Farhat Shamim while vote of thanks was presented by Abdul Rashid Manhas.
Besides students, scholars, faculty members and civil society members also attended the lecture. The lecture was attended by respectable citizens also, those who attended includes Irfan Arif, Fozia Mughal, Geetu, Probha Jain, Shashi Matri Jain, Saima Qazi,Tariq Abrar, Dr.Jugmohan,Pyare Hatash, Lutuf ur Rahman Azad, and others.
