Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu today launched online Six Monthly Research Journal “Tasalsul” on www.urdudepartment.org, the official website of Department of Urdu, University of Jammu. ”Tasalsul” the six monthly Research Journal of the department of Urdu which is being published regularly from 1998 is a reputed Urdu Journal of Urdu world.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor said that in future the journal should be completely online that includes submission of manuscripts to publishing of the research paper. Prof Dhar said that the Dept of Urdu should use renowned journal system (OJS) which is being used by the top varsities of the world. Prof Dhar further said that the prime objective of launching website is to keep the students and their guardians around the country abreast with the academic and extracurricular achievements and serene environment of the department.
Prof. Dhar also congratulated the Head and faculty of the department for putting in their efforts in the compilation of the website which is the face of the department.
Prof.Shohab Inayat Malik, HOD Deptt. Of Urdu also gave a brief overview of the website.
Others present on the occasion were the faculty members of department including Dr. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed, Dr Chaman Lal, Dr.Farhat Shamim, Tariq Hussain and Rahul Pandita from Ideogram Technology Solutions Pvt.Ltd.
