'Mayer-e-Tahqeek' a book written on research methodology by Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, HOD Urdu, University of Jammu was today released by Prof. R.D. Sharma Vice Chancellor of Jammu University in a simple but an impressive function organized by the department of Urdu, University of Jammu in the Prof. Gian Chand Jain seminar hall of the department.
The Book Release function was attended by students , scholars , poets , writers and civil society members which was presided over by noted Punjabi short story writer of the sub-continent Khalid Hussain while Prof. Kedar Nath , Dean Faculty of Arts, University of Jammu grace the occasion as Chief Guest.. Dr Asif Alimi presented a detail paper on the Book and describe it a useful for the students and scholars who are doing their M.Phil and Ph.D’s . They can learn the basic principles of research through this book. “Mayer-e-Tanqeek” according to Dr Asif Illmi was written in a simple but an impressive language and the author has got ideas from great scholars of Urdu language and literature and also quoted them to prove his thoughts.
Prof. RD. Sharma congratulated Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik for adding another feather to its cap. He describe Urdu department the most vibrant department of University of Jammu which is flourishing day by day under the ably headship of Prof Shohab Inayat Malik. Describing books a great treasure Prof. R.D. Sharma advice the students and scholars to consult the books regularly while highlighting the achievements of Jammu University Prof. R.D. Sharma said that UGC has awarded Jammu University A+ Grade which is a great pride for Jammuities. He said that proper and thorough inspection were made by the UGC team which evaluated the work of Jammu University and awarded a highest grade to the University of Jammu adding that students, scholars should contribute in a positive manner for the development of University of Jammu not only this MHRD also awarded Jammu University the 13th rank in the whole country which is also a great achievement of Jammu University students, scholars and Faculty members. Prof. R.D. Sharma said that the Book Exhibition which was today organized by the department of Urdu is itself a great work where thousands of titles has been displayed. The book of prominent writers like Prem Chand, Mantoo and other are also displayed in the exhibition. The students should get benefitted by this exhibition which has been organized on their door step. Prof. R.D. Sharma described Urdu a language of love and brotherhood which has united India from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari.
In his presidential address Khalid Hussain too congratulated Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik for bringing out a book on research Methodology for the students and scholars of Urdu Language. He said that Book should be translated into other language also so that the students of other language would also be benefitted. Highlighting the Importance of book Khalid Hussain advised the students and scholars to love books as Books are their great Friends.
The book which was written by Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik contains 215 pages and has been published by Qasmi Qutub Khana Jammu. Book has been edited by Dr Javed Mugal, Assistant Professor in Urdu in GDC Kathua. Earlier Vice Chancellor Prof. R.D. Sharma of Jammu University inaugurated two day National Urdu Book Exhibition. Near about 5000 titles have been kept in the exhibition which are being provided to students, scholars and civil society members on 20% discount. Books regarding the syllabi has been also kept in the exhibition. The students attending the exhibition with enthusiasm. The publishers who have kept their books included Educational Publishing House Delhi, Educational Book house Aligarh and Qasmi Qutub Khana Jammu.
The proceeding of the program was conducted by Dr Abdul Rashid Manhas while vote pf thanks was conducted by Dr. Chaman lal. Prof. Sukhchain Singh, Prof. Zia-ud-Din, Dr. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed and Dr. Farhat Shamim, Aser Kishtwari, Harbans Nagoke,. Paiarey Hatash ,Niraj Sharma Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor University of Jammu also attended the today’s Book Release function.
